RSTOR Partners with Avnet to Support Digital Transformation Initiatives in Complex Hybrid, Multi-cloud Environments

December 10, 2020 – Avnet, a global technology solutions provider to enterprises across industries, is partnering with RSTOR, a global software-defined cloud platform provider, to support organizations pursuing ambitious business transformation initiatives in today’s hybrid, multi-cloud enterprise infrastructure environment.

“Today’s announcement marries Avnet’s nearly 100-year track record of success in helping businesses harness emerging technologies to achieve strategic business objectives with RSTOR’s ground-breaking innovations in managing the increasingly complex infrastructures that underpin enterprise operations today,” said Craig Buda, director of North America channel sales, RSTOR.

According to analysts at IDC, over 90% of enterprises worldwide will be relying on a mix of on-premises/dedicated private clouds, multiple public clouds and legacy platforms to meet their enterprise computing requirements by 2022. While the uptake of multi-cloud architecture has started to gain momentum, not all businesses are sufficiently prepared to implement complex cloud roadmaps due to migration and skills-related challenges.

RSTOR – which in February of 2017 received $45 million in series A funding from Cisco Investments and a further $35 million in funding in late 2019 from Digital Alpha — has created a next-generation cloud-based solution that virtualizes today’s complex on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures. By providing an agnostic environment for storing and transporting data across heterogeneous environments, RSTOR enables enterprises all around the globe to select the most appropriate and cost-efficient computing resource for specific processing requirements.

“Avnet has a deep and historic understanding of how enterprises across industries and around the world have absorbed new technologies to address major shifts in the business landscape,” said Chris McGhay, business development manager for Avnet. “We have successfully supported organizations through the eras of mainframe computing, to the adoption of client-server, and now the integration of cloud platforms. With RSTOR, we have selected a strategic platform upon which to build and deliver solutions for organizations that have mission-critical data and applications across data centers, private-cloud and public-cloud resources.”

With over 15,000 employees worldwide, Avnet fields a team that brings direct, expert experience across the wide range of enterprise applications that support the business transformation journeys of companies in such industries as:

  • Aerospace & Defense;
  • Automotive & Transportation;
  • Communications;
  • Energy;
  • Healthcare;
  • Industrial manufacturing; and
  • Many more.

As organizations modernize their enterprise technology strategies, RSTOR and Avnet together provide the innovation and business expertise to accelerate transformation initiatives in a rapid, risk-adjusted and cost-effective manner.
